A note from the designer of The Inn at Farmhouse Market, Amy Slavik:
When Kendra asked me to be a part of this project, I was so flattered, because I would never have called myself a designer. I was an elementary school teacher, turned stay at home mom of 4. I have a deep passion for vintage collections and my century old home. I love the feel that only a lifetime of curating can give a home. I love imagining pieces in their former life, longing to know what their story is, who owned them and how they were used. On the contrary, I am a newly aspired minimalist, living by William Morris’ words, “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” If something no longer suits me, I am happy to pass it along.
I am so excited and honored to invest my passion into the Inn at Farmhouse Market. This space is going to be such a great asset to our community. From hosting out of town visitors, traveling business men and women, and even you, I hope this space brings you feelings of coziness, comfort, and contentment.
